It is a special honor and privilege to be named the President of Food and Nutrition Society, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS). I am extremely fortunate to work with an incredibly dedicated Focal Person, Sir Azmat Ullah Khan, outstanding executive cabinet and tremendous members of the society.
So far, in a very short time duration FNS in going heaps and bounds and to continue our success, it is important that new plans are made and implemented by the society members to fulfil the motto of the society. I urge members to become more involved in FNS by attending our educational events, camps, training sessions and seminars, or reaching out to non-members to encourage them to think about their life styles and eating habits and give them awareness regarding our professions as a nutritionist, dietitian or a food technologist. We must work together to encourage each individual member to have a continued voice in the society as, of course, we cannot accomplish these in isolation and will be seeking your cooperation in the coming months on various aspects of this society. For the continued health of FNS, your active participation is essential.
